Billy Hoskins Staples

Billy Hoskins Staples, 94, of Concord passed away surrounded by those he loved on Thursday, August 27, 2026. He was the son of the late Claude Melvin Staples and Nellie Henson Staples.

Born January 7, 1932, Billy was a hardworking man. A graduate of Brookville High School, he went on to be a Contract Specialist with Babcock and Wilcox, dedicating 35 years of service. He was a loving family man, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a devoted husband. He will be truly missed by all those who knew him.

In addition to his parents Billy was preceded in passing by his sister Joyce Suthard.

Those left to cherish Billy’s memory include his loving wife and best friend Geraldine Davidson Staples; his children Brian Staples and his wife Debbie, Torrey Harber and her husband Lewis; his three grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; his one stepdaughter, three step-grandchildren and more extended friends and family.

A graveside service for Billy will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11am at Fort Hill Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Carlton Duck.
