Bobbie Jackson

Bobbie R. Jackson, age 95, formerly of Daleville, VA went home to be with her Heavenly Father on August 15, 2024. She graduated from Roanoke Memorial School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1958. Bobbie had a wonderful career as a nurse with the Roanoke Health Department and Roanoke County Public Schools. She was also a very faithful, long-time member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her father Walter A. Jackson, mother Beulah Jackson Murray, step-father Charlie Murray, sisters Joanne Dye, Joy Jackson and Jackie Karnes, and long-time partner Bob Cook.

She is survived by her brother in law Travis Dye; nephews Randy Dye (Yvonne), Michael Dye (Teresa) and family, David Dye (Elissa) and family.  She also leaves behind several grandnieces and grandnephews and their children that she greatly adored, including; Josh Dye (Shanna) and family, Heather Kelly (Matt), and Sarah Donovan (Mike) and family.

A small private family memorial service will be held in her honor. Online condolences may be expressed to Lotz Funeral Home Salem.. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Stroke Association or St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville, Va.
