Bonita Joyce Peyton

Bonita Joyce Peyton, 65, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2025, at Trumbull Regional Hospital in Warren, Ohio. She was born on September 16, 1958, in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Buckerly Dane Peyton and Peggy Joyce Peyton.

During her leisure hours, Bonita found pleasure in various activities, including indulging in episodes of The Walking Dead, engaging in rounds of Candy Crush, and cherishing moments with loved ones, particularly her two grandchildren. She loved yard sales, flea markets, and auctions on Fridays and Saturdays. Additionally, she loved Mexican cuisine, often enjoying meals at El Ranchito.

Bonita is survived by her daughter, Alethea Martin; her son, Robert Peyton, two grandchildren, Sarah Flippen and Daniel Cox; sister, Belinda “Doll” Peyton; brother, Jason Peyton; her significant other, Rodney Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 2:00pm at Bassett Funeral Service with Pastor Michael Gwyn officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
