Bonnie Mae Papazoglou

Bonnie Mae Papazpoglou, 86, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Runk and Pratt Liberty Ridge.

Born on February 28, 1939, in Rensselaer IN, she was the daughter of the late Ray Wuerthner and Myrtle Nuerthnep. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Rex Wuerthner.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas P. Papazoglou; her son, John Papazoglou (Radhika); and a brother, Robert Wuerthner (Sally). She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and aides throughout the years for the compassion, love and care shown to Bonnie, especially Dr. Russell Melton, Dr. John MacNeill and Dr. Mahmoud Rasheed.

A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Fort Hill Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Father Nicholas Bacalis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1724 Langhorne Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24503.
