Brian Leonard Shivley

Brian Leonard Shivley, 48, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born March 27, 1974 in Martinsville, to Paul Charles Shivley and Patricia Wynn Shivley. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Greteh (Star) Bafundo; and grandparents, Rosie and Harold Wynn and Earl and Bea Shivley. Brian graduated from high school and had attended two years of college where he studied criminal justice. He enjoyed riding motocross bikes, racing remote control cars and had played soccer for years. As a child he went with his dad to work at the first McDonald’s in Henry County. He enjoyed photography; and was a former firefighter with the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Lideah Chastain Shivley; brother, Brandon Shivley; uncles, Bruce Shivley of Oxford, WI and Howard Wynn of Roanoke, VA; aunts, Barbara Henwood of Glenview, IL and Joan Johnson of Fox Lake, IL; sister-in-law, Heather Shivley; and nephews, Jackson and Cooper Shivley. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be private. Wright Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the family.
