Buddy Moricle

Buddy Moricle, age 72 of Woolwine, VA passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 22, 2026. He was born in Patrick County on August 15, 1953 to the late Lane Akers Moricle, Sr. and Josephine Hall Moricle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lynette M. Morrison and a brother, Butch Moricle. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Debbie Hill Moricle; one daughter, Shasta Moricle-Harbour (Jamie), one son, Dusty Moricle (Nicole); seven grandchildren, Valley Harbour, Libby Harbour, Sam Harbour, Lettie Moricle, Oakley Moricle, Reagan Ritchie, and Eilise Ritchie; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn McGlamery, Asher Shell, and Kodie McGlamery; two nephews, Braeden Morrison and Jansen Morrison. A service for Mr. Moricle will be private. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Moody Funeral Chapel from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. The family requests that you dress as Buddy-Fied as you would like! Pallbearers will be Robert Whitlow, Darriel Salmons, Sam Harbour, Braeden Morrison, Jansen Morrison, and Ricky Morrison.
