Cameron "Cam" Carter
Cameron Hampton Carter age 89 of Wirtz passed away on Tuesday May 26th at Harmony Memory Care. He was born on July 1st, 1936 a son of the late Virgil and Eliza (Sis) Carter . He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Reta D Carter, and by a son, David Lynn Carter; grandson, Brian Lee Worrell, Brothers, Wilson Carter and Carolyne (Kitty), Ronald Carter ( Rebecca), Glen Carter, sister, Linda Stone (George )Nephew, Ricky Carter, son of Roger and Barbara Carter, and special friends Mark and Jenny Early. Left to cherish his memory are; Children: Debra Carter Kanode (David), James Cameron Carter (Cynthia), Pamela Carter Foster (Jeff), Michael Ronald Carter (Monica), Wendi Carter Morgan; Brothers, Roger Carter (Barbara), Milton Carter (Connie), sisters, Bettie C Powell (Glen) and Donna C Hatcher (Richard aka Dickie) Grandchildren: Jessica, Brandee, Jana, JC, Benjamin, Samantha, Shelby, Cameron, Jacob, Ryan, Rory, Breanna; 8 great-grand-children. Special In-Laws, Haywood Dudley (Arlene) and Richard Dudley (Susie). Very Special close friends, Ted (Bonnie) Gregorief, Norm (Melanie) Allen), Bruce (Sue) TwiddySpecial Thanks to the following amazing nurses and caregivers from Gentiva Hospice, Deborah, Tammy, Latoya, Karen, Brian, Betsy, Serena, and Misty, for their loving care, concern, and help! Cam and Reta were baptized together in 1964 and have both been faithful servants of Jehovah God ever since! Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday, May 29, 2026 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Norm Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
