Carlton Glenn Rieley

Carlton Glenn Rieley, 90, of Fincastle, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall D. Rieley and China Kessler Rieley. Glenn was the type to never sit still. He was a 3rd-generation orchardist at Rieley’s Orchard. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, was an avid reader, and even painted some. He was a dedicated member of Trinity Church of the Brethren. He served as a deacon, a trustee, and a choir member. He also overlooked Trinity Cemetery, where he worked assisting many families during hard times. Left to cherish Glenn’s memory are his wife of 62 years, Armeda Jean McClung Rieley; son, Carlton Alan Rieley, of Burlington, NC.; daughter, Dina Jean Rieley, of Daleville, VA.; sister, Peggy Jane Rieley Jessee, of Christiansburg, VA.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5 to 7 pm in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 11 am, with Pastor Anne Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
