Carol Ann Ambrose

Carol Ann Ambrose, 78, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Stanleytown Health & Rehabilitation Center in Stanleytown, Virginia. She was born April 25, 1948, in Bronx, New York, to the late William Mahnken and Catherine Meyer Mahnken.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ambrose.

Carol was of the Catholic faith. She was a devoted homemaker, lovingly caring for her home and family. Carol found happiness in the simple things that made life meaningful. She loved dogs, enjoyed gardening, and especially treasured attending AMVETS and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Judith Garbich (Max) and Rachel Zabbia (Todd); three sons, Joel Isaacson (Susan), Teddy Ambrose (Angel), and Lenny Ambrose (Mandy); eight grandchildren; her fur baby, Bud; and a host of other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends, Monday, August 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 2:30 PM at Fair Haven Memorial Park.
