Carol Sue Felton

Carol Sue Felton, 81, of Oceana, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Hattie Maynor; husband, Duane Felton; and brother, Lenord Bailey.

Carol loved Smith Mountain Lake and all the activities it provided like boating and jet skiing. But she especially loved hanging out on the dock listening to Jimmy Buffett sing about island life. More recently, Carol enjoyed the simple pleasure of sitting on her patio in the company of loving family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memories, are her children; Tony Brinkley and wife, Melinda, Todd Brinkley and wife, Stacie, and Tammie Hutchison; grandchildren, Blake Brinkley, and wife Jess, Josh and Jordy Hutchison, Aiden and Dawson Brinkley, and Casey and Austin Epperly; great-grandchildren, Hadley, Lucas, and Mavrick; best friends and adopted sisters, Judy Blackwell and Debbie Sue; and cousin, Shelby and Roger Cook.

A small prayer service, officiated by Pastor Doug, will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Lotz Funeral Home Vinton and a visitation will follow until 8:00 pm.
