Carol Sue Godsbee

Carol Annette “Sue” Godbee, 68 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. She was born on November 7, 1957 in Martinsville, VA. She is preceded in death by her father; Rufus Greene Craig and her mother; Mary Lou Sawyers Craig, and beloved husband David Wade Hubbard.

Sue attended County Line Church of God and graduated from Patrick County High School. She enjoyed crocheting, singing, playing many instruments, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her daughter; Michelle Day (Matt) of Stuart, Virginia. Also surviving is her son; Brian Hubbard (Betsy) of Stuart, VA. Sue is also survived by two sisters; Iva Dale Beavers (Joe) of Ridgeway, VA, and Dorothy Louise Holt of Martinsville, VA. Grandchildren; Kimmy Spence, Hannah Yanes (Fransisco), Joshua Cockram (Morgan), Haley Day (Zach Heath), Chloe Hubbard, and Avery Hubbard. One Great Grandchild; Lexi Hubbard.

There will be a Visitation on August 16, 2026 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Norris Chapel Stuart and a Graveside service to follow at 3:00 pm at the Hubbard Family Cemetery with Pastor Jason Callahan officiating.
