Carol Sue Main Swindell

Carol Sue Main Swindell, 94, of Radford, died September 19, 2026, in Roanoke. She was born on November 15, 1931. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Radford and worked tirelessly with Radford Fairlawn Daily Bread. She was an accomplished pianist, oil color artist, championship tennis player and bridge enthusiast. She enjoyed swimming every summer at Pine Valley and exercising at the Radford Rec. Dept.

Survivors include two children: daughter, Lynn Erwin and her husband, Rob; son, Bob Swindell, Jr. and his wife, Barbara; three grandchildren: Rob Swindell, III and his wife, Amanda, Joe Swindell and wife, Meg, and Becky Erwin Ashby and her husband, Andrew. Six great-grandchildren: Bowen, Barrett and Baylor Ashby and Abigail, Sebastian and Leo Swindell. All are of Roanoke, Virginia. Many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 25, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
