Carrie Parrish Johnson

Carrie Parrish Johnson, 84 of Lynchburg, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024.She was born in Nelson County on December 4, 1939, daughter of the late Leslie A. Parrish and the late Mary H. Parrish.Carrie retired from GE-Ericcson and attended GracePointe Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Swanson J. Johnson and a son, Lee Johnson.Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara Stanley and husband Kent; six grandchildren, Brandon Stanley and wife Brooke, Lindsey Johnson, Josh Johnson, Scott Stanley, Berkley Smith and husband Gary and Alex Thurston and wife Lauren; three great grandchildren, Camden Stanley, Kacen Dixon, and Kendall Stanley.The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:50 am on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at GracePointe Baptist Church where a Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to GracePointe Baptist Church, POB 288, Madison Heights, VA 24572.
