Catherine Lewis White

Catherine Lewis White, age 86, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday June 7, 2023. Cathy was born in Wake County, NC on September 23, 1936, to William Sterling and Rosa Dell (Brinkley) Lewis. She was a 1954 graduate of Needham B. Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC. She was employed by C&P Telephone for 30 plus years.

Cathy was a devoted wife, aunt, and great aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chauncy “Neal” White; her sister Joyce Lewis Massey and husband Alexander “Dick” Massey.

Survivors include her niece Elizabeth Tippette (Burt) of Wake Forest, NC; nephew Frank Massey (Sandy) of Winterville, NC; grandniece, Cat Gillis (Brett) of Oak Point, TX; one great-grandniece Quinn Elizabeth and many cousins.
