Catherine May

Ms. Catherine Graham May, age 90, of Covington, died Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her residence.
Ms. May was born May 3, 1934 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Calvin Lewis Graham and Ruby Ward Graham. A lifetime member of this community, she had been an employee of the former Arcadia during her working career. Catherine was a member of United Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time and doing things outside with her family and friends.
Ms. May is survived by two daughters, Patty Vail of Covington and Julie Gibson of Covington; thirteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; seven great- great grandchildren; a brother, William Graham; three sisters, Bonnie Graham of Maryland, Dolly Graham Miller of Maryland and Jeanette Malashevich of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ms. May was preceded in death by a son, George Larry May; three daughters, Phyllis Brewster, Vergie Hoover and Sharon Bradley; two brothers, Eldridge Graham and Gary Graham; and two sisters, Judy Phillips and Mary O'Conner.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
