Charles "Bill" Harness

Bill passed away at home, Friday December 13, 2024. He is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Marylin Harness, his son Dale Harness and his wife Kathy, his brother Robert “Bob” Harness and his wife Norma, his sister Rosie Martin and her husband Gene, as well as, many nieces and nephews.Bill knew at a young age that he wanted to serve Jehovah, so he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1942, at 5 years old. He loved teaching and talking to others about his reasons for his faith. He had many privileges over the years, from serving as a pioneer, an elder, serving in Bethel and having a share in building hundreds of Kingdom Halls all over. He loved being an active part of the congregation, as well as, talking and keeping in touch with all the friends he had made from all over the world during his many years of service. He had an unbreakable faith and hope of living forever in Jehovah’s paradise here on earth. He will be missed but, we look forward to seeing him again when all of those promises that he so hoped and prayed for, are fulfilled. A celebration of Bills life will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3495 Belle Avenue, NE, Roanoke, Virginia 24012.
