Charles "C.D." Daniel Woody of Campbell County, VirginiaJanuary 13, 1950 - October 2, 2022

Charles Daniel “C.D.” Woody,72, of Campbell County, died Sunday, October 2, 2022, at his residence.  He was the loving husband of Brenda Lee Woody for 35 years.

Born in Lynchburg, January 13, 1950, he was a son of the late Virginia Childress and Herman Rosenthromb Woody.  C.D. was a member of Victory Baptist Church and loved his church family.  He was passionate about his faith in Jesus Christ.  C.D. retired from Whitehurst Paving, where he worked as a truck driver.  He loved reading his bible daily, Dale Earnhardt, Sr., Elvis and was an avid Redskin fan. 

C.D. was a family man and loved spending time with them. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Chad Everett Lee of Lynchburg and Lisha Wines and husband, Troy of Bedford County; three stepsons, Mark Hight, Mike Hight and Ricky Hight; a brother-in-law, Herbert Totty; a special uncle, Floyd “Little Man” McCormick; five grandchildren, Jordan Woody, Brice Wood, Nathan Wood, Katelin Wines and Justin Wines; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Blake Daniel Woody; one sister, Kay Woody Totty; and two brothers, Maynard Woody and Harry Woody.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Worley officiating.  Burial will follow in Glory Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Robinson Funeral Home.
