Charles Dudley Clark

Charles Dudley Clark, Jr., 82, passed away on May 18, 2025. He was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on March 6, 1943, to the late Bertha Estelle Burch Clark and the late Charles Dudley Clark, Sr. He was also predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Mrs. Nancy Lee Terry Clark.

Charles was of the Christian faith. He was the owner and operator of Charles’ Auto Body Repair for many years prior to his retirement. He loved spending time on his farm and playing poker competitively. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Good Guys Car Club, the NRA, and the Riflemen of Wynne's Falls. Charles enjoyed many hours of restoring classic cars with his friends and making memories that will be retold for decades.

Charles is survived by a son; Anthony Charles Clark and wife Ashby; a daughter; Sydney Clark Edwards; a sister; Charlotte Shriver and husband Bucky; and four grandchildren; Charlie Clark, Georgia Clark, Jake Edwards, and Riley Edwards.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 1:00pm, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA, with Pastor Rick Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on the same day, prior to the service from 12:00-1:00pm, also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel. The family will receive friends at the residence from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army or the Boy Scouts of America.
