Charles "Skip" Lewis Prillaman

December 4, 1939 - May 10, 2024

 Charles Lewis “Skip” Prillaman, 84, of Martinsville, VA, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024. He was born December 4, 1939, in Pemberton, WV, to the late John Henry and Gladys Lewis Prillaman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, LT. General Richard Lee Prillaman and Maj. General John Paul Prillaman.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Lois Cochran of Bassett, VA, and several nieces and nephews.

A 1958 graduate of Martinsville High School, he attended Virginia Military Institute and Roanoke College. He was a successful salesman for Nutone Corp. out of Cincinnati, OH, having won several awards for record sales.

In 1991 he became owner of Old Dominion Lighting Associates in Martinsville. His wife joined him in the business until their retirement from the company in 2008.

He loved music, sports cars, and golf. He was a member of the high school band, V.M.I. Glee Club, and First United Methodist Church choir.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel.
