Charles Wayne Perdue

Charles Wayne Perdue, 80, went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2023.

A native of Virginia he was the son of Charles Sylvester Perdue and Dorothy Elizabeth Roberts Perdue, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Lee Perdue and Dennis Clayton Perdue; and two sisters, Joyce Ann Perdue Wallace and Dorothy Rose “Susie” Perdue Obenchain. Charles was a longtime member of CommUNITY church, formerly Tabernacle Baptist. He was an avid fisherman and loved bowling and woodworking.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Dare Deel Perdue; brother, Michael Todd Perdue; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at CommUNITY church in Salem on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 10:00 until 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Thomas McCracken and Pastor Dan Carawan officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to CommUNITY church in Salem or a charity of the donor’s choice.
