Charles Wayne Williamson

Mr. Charles Wayne Williamson, age 87, of Mount Airy passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Surry Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mt, Airy. He was born in Surry County on September 6, 1935, to the late Charlie and Minnie Black Williamson. Mr. Williamson worked for Belk for over 15 years. He was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1953, and was also a graduate of Kentucky Christian Collage, Class of 1957. Mr. Williamson was ordained at Highland Park Church of Christ in 1957 and had a lifetime of Christian service having ministered in the Churches of Christ for over 50 years. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Beth Hodges (John); a son, Scott Williamson; grandchildren, Jordan Nichols, Matthew Nichols; brother, Claude Williamson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Dobson Church of Christ with services conducted by Pastor Scott Meadows. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mr. Williamson to the Dobson Church of Christ.
