Charlotte Marie Pace

Charlotte Marie Pace, 69 of Martinsville, VA, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026. She was born on June 11, 1957, in Franklin County, Va, to the late Thomas Pace and Evelyn Marie Robertson Hagwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tasha Nicole Pace; her brothers, Thomas J. Roberson and James E. Hagwood; her sister, Gloria J. Patterson; her niece, Shameka N. Pace; and her uncle, Billy Robertson.

She was a member of a Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She found joy in listening to Motown music, shopping, and collecting beautiful pocketbooks. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sisters, Martha Manns of Henry, VA; Wanda (Donnie) Grey; and Tonya (John) Craighead of Martinsville, VA; her uncles, Leonard (Anita) Robinson of Martinsville, VA, and Samuel Robinson of Henry, VA; her aunt, Donna Robertson; her special aunt, Mary Mattox of Fayetteville, NC; special niece Shalisa Hagwood and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Wright Funeral Service Bassett Chapel at 12:30 PM, with Pastor Benny Redd, officiating. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at home, 1026 Barrows Mill Road Apt 101, Martinsville, Virginia 24112 daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A floating visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Bassett Chapel.
