Charlotte Quate

November 6, 1921 - March 25, 2024

Mrs. Charlotte Jennings Quate, age 102, died Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Woodlands Nursing Home, Clifton Forge. She was the wife of the late Robert Daniel Quate.
Mrs. Quate was born November 6, 1921 in Roanoke, the daughter of the late Guy Preston Jennings and Mamie Thacker Jennings. A resident of this community since 1928, she was a homemaker. Charlotte was a longtime and faithful member of Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church where she served her church as a member of the Philathea Sunday school class, the United Methodist Women and the Altar Guild.
Mrs. Quate is survived by three nieces, Bebe Jennings Holtzclaw (Pete), Debbie Jennings Auton and Helen Jennings Hill; stepchildren, Rebecca Leichter, Pat (Jennifer) Markham and Dennis (Amy) Markham; loving family friend, Joyce Hawks; and her Granbery Memorial Church family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Quate was preceded in death by her daughter, Billisue Quate Markham; her sister, Louise Fox; and her brothers, Billy B. Jennings and Garrison Jennings.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 1, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating, assisted by Rev. Brian Boettcher. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday morning from 11:30 A.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
