Christopher Eugene Karnes

Christopher Eugene "Chris" Karnes, 58 of Bedford, the love of my life passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at his residence. He was born June 12, 1967 in Norfolk, a son of Brenda Reese Karnes who survives and the late Clyde Karnes.

Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry and gardening.

He will be sadly missed but is no longer in pain. He was a caring and loving husband, father and son and in addition to his mother, is survived by his wife, Charlotte Creasy Karnes; son, Caleb Karnes; daughter, Carley Karnes; brothers, Fred Karnes (Dawn), Brad Karnes; his furbabies, Chicken, Fozzi, Chuckles, Wendy and Harvey.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church with Pastor J. R. Graybill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
