Christopher Gray Venable

Christopher Gray Venable, 60, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away October 4, 2026. Born July 30, 1966 to the late Walter Gray Venable and the late Brenda Kay Gillespie Venable Snow. Chris was a drill operator, lovingly referred to as “the drill doctor.” Left to cherish his memory is his daughter and son-in-law, Melia Burke and Justin; sons, Walter Venable, William Venable, and Austin Venable; grandchildren, Reylan Burke, Peyton Burke, Jackson Burke, Levi Burke, Eli Burke, Wally Venable, Gabriel Venable, and Alex Venable; and Damien Venable; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwayne Venable and Leighann, and Scott Venable and Lynn Smith; as well as long time girlfriend, Wendy Doss. A private graveside for family will be held in the New Home Church of Christ Cemetery with Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is respectfully serving the Venable family.
