Christopher John Eagle

Christopher John Eagle, 42, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, at UVA Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born on September 6, 1982, he was the son of Karen Vaughan and the late Tony Lee Vaughan, Sr. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Tyree; and three Aunts, Brenda Allen, Gayle Kidd and Janet Jones.

Chris was always the life of the party and had a larger-than-life personality. He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He loved music and had numerous favorites from all genres. He loved to go shopping and was known for his impeccable sense of fashion. Although he had faced a lengthy illness for the last six years, he always remained optimistic and determined.

In addition to his beloved mother, he is also survived by his siblings, Tabitha Eagle and Tony Vaughan, Jr. (Molly); grandfather, Carl Arrington, Aunt Annette Mays; Aunt Ashley Anderson (Ronnie); Uncle Tommy Eagle (Debbi); nieces and nephews Landon, Christian, Dillan, Victoria, Delaney, Tatum, Aiden, Noah, Lee, Ryan, Derek (Emily), Heather, and Harold Jr. (Melanie); and his very special friends, Tanya Dowdy, PJ Saunders, April Schmitt, Katie Layne and Oma Treleaven.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
