Claude Dale Pruitt

Claude Dale Pruitt, 80, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Claude was born in Danville, VA on May 16, 1944 to the late Nannie Wilson Pruitt and the late Claude Raymond Pruitt. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Pruitt.

Claude was of the Christian Faith, and a member of The Tabernacle Church. He worked for many years as a Supervisor for the City of Danville Water and Gas, previous to his retirement. He had a special love for Fishing and Hunting.

In addition to his wife Becky, Claude is survived by a son; Shannon Pruitt and daughter in love Kimberly; and a grandson and best friend; Dylan Pruitt and girlfriend Makaila; and special dog; Dixie.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to God’s Pit Crew, 2499 North Main Street, Danville, VA 24540.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 2:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Dr. Danny Campbell and Pastor Joey Bray officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 6-7:30pm also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
