Claudette Ann Reynolds Keeter

Claudette Ann Reynolds Keeter, 69, ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 16, 2026. She was born January 13, 1957 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Barbara Ann Rigney Reynolds and Claude Davis Reynolds. She was a sister to the late David Samuel Reynolds and her twin, the late Lynette Reynolds. She graduated from Menchville High School in 1975 where she was very active in theater and she spent several years performing on local stages and being filmed in commercials. She was gifted in the performing arts and was an extremely creative woman. She was married in 1980 and had two daughters that she poured unconditional love and support into. She relocated to Danville, Virginia in 1993. She was a homemaker whose greatest joy in life was being a mommy to her girls and felt that her purpose in life was to be a mother. She homeschooled her children for many years. After her daughters graduated high school, she enjoyed taking Spanish and History classes at Danville Community College. She later found out she had a talent for painting after taking some local painting classes. She was active in her church, New Life Community Church, for many years. She loved beautiful and precious things. She loved the Lord and followed Him since she was a child. She had a huge, pure heart and loved to express her love through kind words and acts and to help people in any way she could. She was deeply compassionate and empathetic and exuded sweetness. She enjoyed watching her favorite movies and she loved to read. She enjoyed seeing her local friends in person and talking to her long-distance friends and family over the phone. Her greatest joys in her last several years continued to be her daughters and her five grandchildren. She is survived and deeply missed by her loving daughters, Melody Ann Keeter Barrett (Joshua) and Ashley Noelle Keeter (Tyler Spindle), her five grandchildren, Ella, Olivia, Violet, Seth and Elijah, her dear aunt, “Auntie” Sue Garner, her life-long friends, Brenda Tolson and Carmen Hart and her grand-dog, Jake. Family, friends, and all those who were touched by her life are invited to a celebration of life in her honor at New Life Community Church on Friday, August 21st at 2pm. A private interment is to follow. The family requests that all who attend wear bright, vibrant colors or Sunday Best to celebrate her precious life.
