Claudette Marie Castro

Claudette Marie “CiCi” Castro, age 76 of Rocky Mount died unexpectedly at her residence on Monday, February 13, 2023. She was born May 29, 1947 in San Francisco, CA the daughter of the late Paul Moitoret and Joan Frederick Brundage. CiCi graduated from Glynn Academy in Brunswick, GA. Following graduation CiCi developed a love for horses which became her passion and led to her vocation as a Horse Rescuer, Horse Ranch Manager, and amazing Horse Trainer for many years. Her driving force in life were her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as her friends whom she loved like family. CiCi never met a stranger. She loved with all her heart so unconditionally and so immensely with no judgment. She was strong in her faith and became a devout Christian. Surviving are her daughters, Alea M. Greenwood of Brunswick, GA and Pamela D. Mullis (biological daughter) and her husband Larry of Warner Robbins, GA; granddaughters, Alexa M. Thurston (Ben) of Tacoma, WA; great-granddaughter, Ren; granddaughter, Addie M. Greenwood (Mitch) of Tampa, FL; grandsons, Maclain Fountain (Tiffany) of Ft. Benning, GA; great-grandson, Beau; great-granddaughter, Blakely; grandsons, Cody and Garrett Davis of Warner Robbins, GA; brothers, Rocky P. Moitoret of Murphy, NC, Tom Thornton (Melissa) of Salem, OR; and chosen sister, Penny LaPorta of Rocky Mount, GA. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
