Cleophus Tinsley

Cleophus Tinsley, 75, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was born January 15, 1949, in Axton, Virginia to the late Robert Scott Tinsley and Mamie Sue Wade Tinsley.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Estelle Tinsley and Dorothy Napper; brothers, Robert Tinsley and Larry Tinsley.Cleophus was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith. He enjoyed anything and everything to do with cars. He loved working on cars in his free time. He loved to listen to music and play his guitar. Above all he loved and put his family first.He is survived by his lovely wife of fifty-four years, Jerline Wilson Tinsley; daughters, Tova Tinsley and Estella Maria Tinsley Rheubottom; sister, Shirley Perkins; brothers, Roy Howell Tinsley and Hubert Ray Tinsley; and grandchildren, Kalyl Jacari Tinsley, Kalyb Kyree Tinsley, Milan N. Waller, and Kailyn Reign Yellock.The funeral will be Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
