Clinton Elwood Akers

Clinton Elwood Akers, Jr. went home to his Heavenly Father on the 14th of December. Clint was a beloved father, husband, family member, and friend who touched the lives of many during his time with us.

Clint was born to Martha Eugenia Gore-Akers and Clinton Elwood Akers, Sr. in Baltimore, MD in 1950. He enlisted in the United States AirForce in 1976 where he served for over 21 years. Clint was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed thrift shopping, reading, and spending time with his cats.

Clint will be deeply missed by his wife of 25 years, Sandra Lee Akers, his children, Clinton Elwood Akers, III, Candice Elizabeth Akers, Nicole Lannette Akers-Fox, Cassandra Lee Akers-Robinson, Victoria Sue Akers, Alexis Marie Akers, Lillianna Eugenia Akers, his grandchildren, and the rest of his family and friends. His kind heart, warm smile, and generous spirit will never be forgotten.

The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541 with Pastor Nathan Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
