Cody Ryan Lawson

Cody Ryan Lawson, age 33, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Lawson was born on January 20, 1993, in Danville, Virginia to Laura Jeanne Jones and Charles Howard Lawson, Jr.

Cody worked as an Auto Body Technician for his father at 86 Motors, attended Cornerstone Church of Christ, and loved riding his Harley Davidson.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, spending time with his family and friends, but most of all, he loved being a father to his children.

Mr. Lawson is survived by his parents, Laura Jeanna Jones (Irvin Trahan, Jr.) and Charles Howard Lawson, Jr. (Melissa); daughter, Carlyeen Rae Lawson; sons, Conner Ray Lawson and Remington Cash Lawson; love of his life, Chelsea Pearson; Chelsea’s sister and dear friend, Chloe Pearson; grandfather, Marven Jones; brother, Corey Bryan Lawson; step-brothers, J. D Gillie, Zayne Hooker, and Irvin Trahan III; step-sisters, Kennedy Gillie and Karly Monceaux, special friends, Harold Huffman, Jr., Bradley Galvin, David Cassada, and many other close friends.

Mr. Lawson was predeceased in death by his grandfather, Charles H. Lawson; grandmother, Belinda Lawson; and grandmother, Virginia Jones.

A Celebration of Life for Cody will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at 11:00 am at Norris Funeral Services – West End Chapel with Pastor Bob Paddock officiating. There will be a visitation for Mr. Lawson one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
