Connie Carr Boardwine

Connie Jean Carr Boardwine, 72, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Martinsville Health and Rehab. She was born January 10, 1951 in Mercer, West Virginia, to the late Edgar Ralph Carr and Nannie Louise Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Gail Boardwine; sisters, Linda Handy and Janet Davis; sister-in-law, Lib Carr; and grandson, Austin Lane Mabry.She was of the Jehovah Witness faith, and was a member of Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witness, 107 Governor Lane, Martinsville. She was baptized in 1973, and loved being a Jehovah Witness. She was a graduate of Drewry Mason High School, and had been a cosmetologist for over 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.Connie is survived by her daughter, Venessa Boardwine Jones (Brian Roop); sisters, Geneva Basha and Phyllis Carr; grandchildren, Brittany Nicole and Zachary Dale Mabry; and great-granddaughter, Aligha Smith.The Memorial Service will be August 26, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Kingdom Hall, 107 Governor Lane, Martinsville, Virginia, with Bro.
