Conrad E. Hairston

Conrad E. Hairston, 70, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at Sovah Health of Martinsville. He was born December 6, 1954, in Martinsville, Virgina to Nellie Mae Penn Hairston and the late David Hairston.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, David Adlai Hairston.

Conrad was a proud graduate of Martinsville High School in Virginia. In his professional life, he worked at Drake Extrusion, Inc., a company located in Martinsville. Outside of work, Conrad had a passion for working on cars and enjoyed fishing. He deeply cherished the time spent with his family, treasuring those moments above all else.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Maxine Spencer (Jerome), Vergie Dubois, Agnes Hairston, and Brenda Bowles; brothers, Stacey Hairston (Belinda), and Jimmie Hairston (Connie).

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 11:30 AM, at Wright Funeral Service with Bishop James Perkins officiating. A visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. A floating visitation will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at Wright Funeral Service from 1:30 – 3:00 PM.
