Cynthia Ann Dalton Falls
Cynthia Ann Dalton Falls, 62, of Buchanan, Virginia, passed away on April 22, 2025 surrounded by her husband and children whom she loved so dearly.
Born on November 30, 1962, in Roanoke, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Earl Dalton and Linda Craighead Dalton. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Benjamin McCall Falls, whose passing in 1984 profoundly shaped her life.
Cynthia was known for her unwavering work ethic and compassionate spirit. Her career began at Big T in Daleville, followed by roles at Dominion Bank and the Botetourt County Treasurer’s Office. She later worked in the County Administrator’s Office before health concerns prompted a career change. Cynthia found joy in direct sales with Pampered Chef, sharing her love for cooking, especially with children. She also trained as a real estate appraiser but paused her career to care for her daughter after a serious car accident. Her devotion to others continued as she provided in-home care for the elderly, later returning to real estate appraisal in a leadership role. In 2019, she and her family purchased Digital Image Printing, where she served as the heart of the business until her cancer diagnosis in 2024.
Cynthia was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved vacations at the beach, particularly hunting for fossilized shark teeth at Myrtle Beach. She had a deep appreciation for cooking, crafting, flower gardening, and the holidays. Christmas and Easter held special meaning for her, reflecting her joy in tradition and her strong faith.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend—always advocating for children, animals, and the elderly. Her warmth and resilience will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory Falls; her children, Zachary Falls and Lorin Young (William Christopher); her cherished grandson, Douglas Yeisley; her brother, Mark Dalton (Ann); her nephew, Landon Dalton (Caroline); and her great nephew Wilson Dalton.
A private graveside service will be held at Daleville Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church in Buchanan, Virginia with Rev. Morris Bennett officiating. Visitation will follow at the church and will conclude with a luncheon.
