Danny Franklin Lee

With gratitude to God for a life well lived, we are saddened to announce the passing of Danny Franklin Lee, at the age of 80, on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Mr. Lee was born on October 30, 1945, to the late Harry Marshall Lee and the late Estelle Morris Lee.

Danny attended Faith Memorial Baptist Church, and worked for many years at Dan River Mills, Inc., as a Sewing Machine Fixer prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Moore Lee (known to Danny as “Shuglug”), sons, Danny “Marty” Marshall Lee (Penny, known as Danny’s “daughter in love”) and Christopher Scott Lee, stepsister Linda Eatman, grandchildren, Victorya Grace Lee Nunley (Brandon, known to Danny as his “favorite grandson-in-law”), Dustin Marshall Lee (Kaytlynn), and Nicholas Scott Lee (Gracie) as well as his pride and joy, great-grandson, Dawson Lee Nunley.

In addition to his parents, Danny was predeceased by two stepsisters, Rachel Harman and Jeanett Womack and a grandchild, Taylor Dawn Lee.

A visitation of friends will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m., also at Norris West End Chapel, officiated by Pastor Dennis Moore and Pastor Doug Barber. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence.
