Danny Kay Bridges

January 10, 1958 - January 14, 2024

DANNY KAY BRIDGES, of Bland, Virginia was born January 10, 1958, in Wytheville, Virginia passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, after suffering a traumatic brain injury in June.

Danny was a very easy going, soft spoken, humble and kindhearted person.  He attended The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ for more than 30 years.  He loved his church, and attended every service even though it was a struggle for him in the end to get there due to his disease.  He enjoyed gathering with his family and friends.  He enjoyed watching westerns and watching the Gaither’s on tv with his dog Maxx and Daisey by his side.

Before he was struck with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, In his younger days he loved competing in dog shows and participating in coon hunting events.  He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. Throughout his life, Danny worked for the USDA Forest Service, ABB Inc., and Wolverine Advanced Material. But his proudest achievement was his children and grandchildren.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Melanie Morehead Bridges; his daughter Kayla Bridges Agee, husband Cody and their children, Easton, Aniston and Arlo; his daughter Meagan Bridges and her children Jeremiah, who preceded Danny in death and Mia; and his son, Tyler Bridges.
