Danny Lee McCulley

Danny Lee McCulley, Sr., age 65, of Covington, Virginia died Sunday, January 15, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on February 10, 1957 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Jasper Monroe McCulley, Sr., and Clara Belle Windsor McCulley. He was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his life long partner, Nancy Nicely; two sisters, Nancy M. Nicely and Becky Ramsey; and a brother, Michael McCulley.

He is survived a son, Danny McCulley, Jr; two sisters, Karen Bowles and Clara Jean McCulley (Paul Lavender), all of Covington; two brothers, Jasper McCulley, Jr., of Clifton Forge, Edward Alexander McCulley (Paula), of Covington; three grandchildren, Alex Monroe McCulley, Jaxon Carter McCulley, Charlotte Elizabeth McCulley, and one on the way, Haden Isacc McCulley, his dog Sassy and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 5:00PM in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
