Danny Lee Overstreet

Danny Lee Overstreet, 67, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. He was born in Bedford, VA on February 3, 1956 a son of the late Edward Burks Overstreet, Sr. and Edna Carter Welch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Wild Overstreet; daughter, Christina Overstreet; nephew, Terry Overstreet; and sisters, Susie Overstreet and Loretta Overstreet. He retired from Cintas. Danny is survived by his daughters, Melissa Wiggins (Fernando), Danielle Overstreet (Ty), Jessika Overstreet (Von); son, Brian Nelson (Caren); brothers, Edward Overstreet, Jr., Wayne Overstreet (Kelly); sister, Pam Shepperd (Tim); aunts, Annie Orange, Arlene Hartberger; grandsons, Joshua Wiggins, Douglas Bryant; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to his hospice nurse, Donna Mitchell with Gentle Shepherd Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, with Rev. Earl Ragland officiating.
