Danny Wayne Fralin
Danny Wayne Fralin, 62, of Bassett, Virginia, went to his heavenly home on September 10, 2024. He was born April 26, 1962, in Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Fralin and Carrie Boyd Fralin; and one sister, Goldie Benfield.
Danny was a dedicated employee of Eastman Performance Films of Martinsville. He was a Christian, and attended First Baptist Church of Bassett, Virginia. His primary love was spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, who affectionately referred to him as “Papa Fred”. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and Chase Elliot. He liked football and was a lifetime San Francisco 49ers fan. He loved his Dodge Ram truck. His favorite snack was Reese’s peanut butter cups, “the bigger the better”.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karen Hall Fralin; one daughter, Jessica Harmon; son-in-law, Matt Harmon; two grandchildren, Lucas and Cooper; four brothers, Tim Benfield, William Belcher, Walter Belcher (Zelma), Leon Fralin; and one sister, Irene Pendleton (David); brothers-in- law, Ted Turner (Pattie), Tommy Turner (Kim); and a host of numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, David Lee Pendleton (Bonnie) whom he thought of as a brother, as well as er family and close friends.
The visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Ted Turner and Pastor David Boarman officiating. The burial will follow at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
