Darlene Burichin

Darlene Burichin, 78, of Daleville, VA passed away on September 13. Born on July 17, 1946, in Windber, PA. Darlene graduated from Adams-Summerhill High School in Sidman, PA where she met her beloved husband, Larry Burichin. They married in 1966, sharing 58 years together and raising two daughters, Jennifer and Sheri.  

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Caroline and Andrew Colton. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Carter (Kermon), granddaughters Bailee Brumfield, Ava Brumfield, Cecilia Carter; as well as her daughter Sheri Lemon and Grandchildren Charlie, Audrey, Anna, and Chase Lemon. Darlene is also survived by her brother Ronald Colton (Kathy), and her Special Pup Lily. 

A gifted seamstress, Darlene had a passion for sewing and altering clothes, even crafting her own wedding dress and veil. Her creative talents extended into the realm of interior design and carpentry. She often applied her skills to remodel and refinish rooms in her and her daughter’s homes. Darlene enjoyed traveling with her family, especially on cruises and to her grandchildren’s many travel sporting events.
