Darrell Hunt

Darrell Ray Hunt, age 76, of Collinsville, VA, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 in Henry County. He was born March 2, 1947 in Richlands, VA to Chester Hunt and Rutha Horn Hunt.

In addition to his parents, Darrell is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Stanley Hunt (1996); daughter, Sandra Conner; second wife, Lula Mae Hunt (6/2023); brother in laws, Thurman Scott and Ray Lambert.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Kidd (Darrell); granddaughter, Amber (Michel); grandson, Ryan Kidd; great grandson, Luka Mercado; sisters, Brenda Lambert, Janie Scott and a host of nieces and nephews. Stepdaughter, Lisa Lewis; step grandchildren, Crystal Padgett, Lisa Higgs and Mitchell Lewis.

Darrell enjoyed hunting and fishing and fixing up old trucks. A service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Drive, Bassett, VA, at 12:00 pm, with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will immediately follow at Henry Memorial Cemetery.
