Darryl Franklin Ramey

Darryl Franklin Ramey, 40, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 19, 2026. He was born on April 12, 1986, in Roanoke, Virginia, to Darryl Lee Ramey and the late Tess Ann Beal Ramey.

Darryl attended Drewry Mason Middle and Magna Vista High Schools. He had a love for music and enjoyed watching the Pittsburg Steelers play football. He enjoyed a variety of foods, but Red Velvet Cake was a favorite. Above all, he cherished his family, who meant so much to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his father, Darryl Ramey and stepmother, Therresa Ramey; daughters, Danijah Massey Ramey, Taishawna Smith; son, Damari Ramey; sister, Vericonia Ramey; and fiancé, Jazmen Titus.

The funeral will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. There will be a floating visitation Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 1:30-5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel. Family will receive friends daily from 1:00-8:00 PM at the home of Darryl Lee Ramey, 129 Eisenhower Road, Ridgeway, Virginia 24148.
