David "Dave" Bryan Wade
David B. Wade, of Moneta, passed away on May 7, 2024, in Roanoke. He was 66 years old.
David was born in Roanoke on January 13, 1958. He graduated from Glenvar High School and attended architectural classes at Virginia Western Community College. He worked as a Long-Haul Trucker for 20 years. As a young adult he owned two businesses: Loan Wolf Home Remodel & Repair and Southern Pride Home Inspection. He was a proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry. He enjoyed guns, motorcycles, and coins. He was proud of his many collections, as well as his abilities in antiquing and antique dealing. He had the ability to fill the room with love by recalling memories and telling stories of his late wife, Molly. He will be remembered for his kind and generous way, love for his family, unique sense of humor, and passion for historical accuracy. He will be deeply missed.
David is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth “Molly” Wade. Son of the late Haden and Gloria Wade. Loving father to Marc “Mat” Thomas and his wife Christina. Devoted grandfather to Aiden, Noah, and Timothy “lil’ Jack”. Brother of Laurel Wade. Also survived by his brother, Jeff Thompson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visiting Hours on Saturday, May 11 from 6-8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va.
