David Harold Hawks

David Hawks Jr. went home to be with our Lord, Friday, July 24, 2026, after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born in Richmond, Va. to David Hawks Sr and Patsy Virginia Hawks. He lived most of his life in Cumberland County, Va. He loved fishing, hiking and swimming in the river. He loved fast cars and building them. He enjoyed hiking around Roanoke, going to all of the parks and getting in the River in Buchanan. Most recently he found a stronger relationship with Christ and sobriety. He enjoyed placing Jesus figurines around Roanoke for others to find. He is survived by two daughters, Kacie and Makayla both from the Richmond area. He is also survived by his life partner, Sharon and dog, Zoe(Mama). He will forever be missed and loved so much. His Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 4pm, Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Cave Spring Baptist Church in Cave Spring, Va.
