David Wayne Prillaman

David Wayne Prillaman, 79, of Alabama, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was born in Henry County, on December 21, 1944, to the late John Marshall Prillaman, and Nannie Clark Prillaman Woods.In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Lucy Rakes, Mollie Dalton, Doris Blackwell, Louella Armstrong, and Dorothy Prillaman; brothers, Billy Prillaman, Buren “Buster” Prillaman, Dewey “Dick” Prillaman, John Junior Prillaman, and Jack Prillaman.David was a man who loved God and his family. He never met a stranger and never missed an opportunity to talk about God. David was a pastor for thirty-six years in Charlotte, North Carolina and Chatham, Virginia. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He loved being outside sitting by the fire, cutting trees or woodworking. He would always tell people to “Do the right thing” anytime he was given the opportunity.David is survived by his wife, Patsy F. Prillaman; daughter, Deborah Robinson (Chad), Sydney Dean (Chris); son, Bradley Prillaman (Traci); sister, Lolene Prillaman; grandchildren, Kinsley Robinson, Kamryn Robinson, Chase Robinson, Sarah Franks (Michael), Brandon Turbeville (Rita), Chase Prillaman, Jordan Prillaman, and Conner Prillaman; great grandchildren, Colton Turbeville, Alison Turbeville, Madison Turbeville, Myla Franks, Aiden Franks, and Rylie Franks.Services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at New Covenant Fellowship at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Obdulio Berrios officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the John Marshall Prillaman Family Cemetery, 1388 Jameson Mill Rd., Henry, VA 24102.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
