Dealie Cupp Hubbard

Dealie Cupp Hubbard, 85, wife of Jerry Wayne Hubbard, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Henry William Cupp and the late Shirley Branch McCray. She was also preceded in death by her in laws, Lester and Mildred Hubbard; a sister, Mary Ann Martin; two brothers, Albert Cupp and William Cupp.

Dealie and Jerry have attended Hope Bible Church for more than 30 years.

In addition to her husband of 46 years, Jerry Wayne Hubbard, she will be missed and remembered by her children, Shirley Helen Meador Fisher of Roanoke, Kenneth Grant Meador, Jr. (Susie) of Boones Mill, Renee Wallace of Florida; grandchildren, Brittany Nicole West (Rob) of Colorado, Sienna Cree Wallace of Florida; great-grandson, Braxton West; a brother, Danny Laprade (Brenda); a brother-in-law, Charles Hubbard; a sister-in-law, Carol Craighead (Johnny); sister-in-law, Sherry Cupp; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road with Rev. Don Eschelman officiating.

Interment will follow at the Old Brubaker Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Simpson Funeral Home.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the entire staff of Good Samaritan Hospice and the Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House, especially Ariana Hash and Kia Enoch, for the love and care that was shown not only to Dealie, but to the entire family.
