Deana Mae Hairston, 74, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024. She was born July 27, 1949, in Bassett, Virginia, to the late David Lee Helms and Clara Mae Simmons Hairston.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clemons Hairston, Sr.; daughter, Teresa Lillian Manns; brothers, Sidney Helms, Dwight “Fiddlesticks” Helms, David Wayne Helms, and Ronnie Helms.Deana was a member of Greater Love Ministry. She loved her children, grandchildren, and church.She is survived by her sons, Clemons Lee Hairston, Jr., and Steven Hairston; sisters, Minister Nina Finney, Brenda Johnson; sisters-in-law, Renay Hairston, Phyllis Hairston, and Cherri Hairston; brothers-in-law, James Hairston, and James B. Carter.The funeral will be Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Avery Preston. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
