Debbie McKinney

Debra Ann "Debbie" McKinney White, 73, of Goodview, Virginia, passed away on October 24, 2026, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke. Born on June 24, 1953 in Beckley, West Virginia, Debbie was the only daughter to the late Herbert McKinney and Audrey Mae Lafon McKinney. Debbie grew up in Sophia, West Virginia and worked as a case worker for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services for 20 years Throughout her life, Debbie was known for her contagious laughter and smile. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Stephen White; daughter, Kelli Nichole White Weatherby; grandson, Robert Khaleal Coit; and a brother, Herbert "Herkie" McKinney. Debbie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jonathan Edward White; son, Jonathan Bryan White and wife, Stacy Ann Elmore White; grandsons: Jonathan Tristan White and wife, Madison Brooke Syner White, Brandin Lewis White, Kaleb William Coit and wife, Tara Ann Hamilton Coit; granddaughters; Kendra DeAnn Coit, and Jorden Grace White; great-grandsons, Atlas Khaleal Coit, Jonathan Parker White and Asher William Coit; great-granddaughter, Aelynn Nicole Coit; as well as brothers, William "Rocky" McKinney, Gerald "Jerry" McKinney. Those who knew Debbie will remember her for her love of Jesus, love for her family and her humor. In respect of her wishes, she will be cremated and no funeral services will be held. Debbie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Please no flowers and no donations are needed.
