Deborah Ann Woody

Deborah Ann Woody, 69, of Martinsville, VA transitioned on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Riverside Health and Rehab Center in Danville, VA. She was born February 16, 1957 in Martinsville a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Annie Holland Woody. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, James D. Hairston, Jr., and one niece Latonia W. Dickerson.

Deborah was a 1975 graduate o Fieldale-Collinsville High School and was a member of Providence Church of Christ in Martinsville, VA. She was last employed at Sovah Health - Martinsville.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Stacy L. (Trevor) Giles, of Browns Summitt, NC; one son, Roger M. (Paige) Woody, of Blairs, VA; one granddaughter, Riley Woody, of Blairs, VA; three sisters, Pamela W. (Avery) Preston, and Kathy W. (Joseph) Lockett both of Martinsville, VA; and Regina W. (James) Moore, of Danville, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday October 5, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Greater Love Ministries with Bishop Avery Preston, eulogist and Elder Tremayne King, presiding. Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home of her sister (Pam) 760 Turner Ashby Road, Martinsville, VA at other times. A public viewing will be held Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel.
